Product detailsThe SurgiWorld LaGrange Scissors Silver are a standard surgical scissors option for dental professionals who need better intraoral access than a straight or simply curved instrument can provide. The defining feature of the LaGrange design is its S-shaped (double-angled) blade - a geometry that offsets the blade tips from the handle axis, allowing the clinician's hand and fingers to remain outside and above the surgical field while the blade tips work at depth inside the mouth.
This angled offset becomes especially valuable in posterior quadrant procedures, where cheek tissue, tongue, and adjacent teeth naturally restrict instrument movement. With a standard straight or curved scissor, the operator often has to torque their wrist into an uncomfortable angle to see and access the target tissue. The LaGrange S-curve eliminates this - the blade tips point in the direction of the tissue while the handle sits at a natural, ergonomic angle in the hand.
At 11.5 cm (4.53") in total length, these scissors are sized for full intraoral reach without being cumbersome. The sharp/sharp tip configuration enables clean entry into tissue without tearing, and the stainless steel construction delivers a reliable cutting edge for routine dental surgical tasks including suture removal, soft tissue trimming, flap access, gingivectomy, and tissue dissection around implants or teeth.
The satin silver finish is the standard stainless version - a cost-effective choice for practices looking for a quality LaGrange scissor for general use, high-volume suture removal, or as an everyday surgical tray instrument. The silver finish also makes instrument identification easy in a tray of mixed instruments.
The stainless steel body withstands autoclave sterilization at 134°C without corrosion or loss of spring tension, and the ring handle is designed to accommodate gloved hands comfortably for both left- and right-handed operators.
