SurgiWorld – Explorer Probe EXP23/CP12

EXP 23 End, Caries & Surface Defect Detection: The shepherd's hook tip is a clinical staple for detecting early caries, calculus buildup, overhanging margins, and surface irregularities on enamel and restorations. Its fine, angled tip provides direct tactile feedback when running across tooth surfaces, helping clinicians identify soft spots and rough texture before they progress into larger problems. Particularly effective during routine exams, recall appointments, and pre-treatment assessments.

CP 12 End, Color-Coded Pocket Depth Measurement: The CP 12 probe features distinct color-coded band markings at 3, 6, 9, and 12 mm intervals, offering fast and clear visual readings of periodontal pocket depths without the need to count individual millimeter lines. This makes periodontal charting faster and reduces read errors, especially in deep or bleeding pockets. It is used to evaluate gingival health, track disease progression, and monitor treatment outcomes over time.

Instrument Construction & Sterilization: The instrument is made from high-grade stainless steel with a knurled handle that maintains grip in wet intraoral conditions. It is fully autoclave-compatible, supporting routine sterilization cycles up to 135°C, meeting standard infection control requirements in dental practices and clinical training environments.

Best suited for general dentists, periodontists, dental hygienists, and dental students. If your practice involves both caries screening and periodontal assessments in the same appointment, the EXP23/CP12 consolidates two instruments into one, helping you work more efficiently without compromising diagnostic quality.
