SurgiWorld – Force Module Separator

Clinical Use

The Force Module Separator is a high-leverage tool that stretches elastic separators so they can be slid between tight contacts before banding. The thin tips make quick placement easier.

Design and Handling

Elastic separators are placed between teeth a few days before band placement to open the contact. The tool stretches the separator so it can be positioned between the contacts, then released so it holds in place.

The high-leverage design means less hand effort for each separator.

Care and Handling

Orthodontic pliers should be used only for the job they are made for. Check that the tips meet evenly before each use, and do not use these pliers to cut wire, which will damage the working surfaces. Keep the box joint free of resin and cement, and put a drop of instrument lubricant on it before sterilization so the pliers keep opening and closing smoothly.

Run a cloth or brush over serrations and grooves during cleaning, because debris trapped there reduces grip.

Pliers stored loose in a drawer can knock their tips out of alignment. Keep them in a cassette or tray so the beaks are protected between uses and the instrument is ready when the next patient sits down.

Material and Sterilization

Made from medical grade stainless steel. Autoclavable for repeated sterilization cycles. Clean and dry the instrument after each use, and check the working ends for wear or damage before it goes into the pouch.
