Clinical Use

The Medium Right Apical Plugger and Burnisher (0.75mm / 1.4mm) is a dual-function instrument for compacting and shaping gutta-percha. The medium size and right angle bend fit most molar restorative and endodontic cases.

Design and Handling

This is the right side version, with a 0.75mm / 1.4mm working pair. The angle puts the working end where it is needed for the right quadrants, so the handle stays out of the line of sight and the wrist does not have to twist to reach the tooth.

The plugger end compacts the filling material against the canal walls, and the burnisher end smooths the surface once the material is in place.

Using a Plugger and Burnisher

A double-ended plugger and burnisher is chosen by size and by the side it needs to reach. The left and right versions let the working end follow the curve of the arch, so the handle stays clear of the lip and opposing teeth. Try the end in the canal or cavity first to check clearance.

Keep the tips clean and free of filling material between uses, and check them for wear or bending after each case.

Material and Sterilization

Made from medical grade stainless steel. Autoclavable for repeated sterilization cycles. Clean and dry the instrument after each use, and check the working ends for wear or damage before it goes into the pouch.
